Gingerbread houses, in particular, are a cherished family activity, decorated with icing and candy. The blend of sweet, spicy flavours and decorative charm makes gingerbread a perfect symbol of Christmas warmth and cheer, capturing the spirit of togetherness and celebration that defines the holiday.

The coin’s reverse features a charming illustration of a gingerbread man with a candy cane, nestled inside a festive teacup adorned with a snowflake motif. It also includes the inscription “MERRY CHRISTMAS”, alongside The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and the year-date 2025. The obverse incorporates the monetary denomination.

Affixed to the envelope are three $0.65 official Australia Post stamps. The stamps are postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.
