Legacy is an iconic Australian charity dedicated to supporting the families of veterans' who have given their life or health in operational service. Legacy supports the partners and children of veterans through assistance aimed at protecting individuals and families' basic needs; advocating for their entitlements, rights and benefits; assisting families through bereavement; and helping people thrive despite grief, hardship and loss.

Struck by the Royal Australian Mint and issued by Australia Post, the coin's reverse features the Legacy torch logo, with open hands symbolising the compassionate support and care provided by Legacy to families of veterans' over the past 100 years.
