The Perth Mint and Australia Post have released a stamp and coin cover to celebrate the Year of the Monkey.Â
In Chinese culture people born in the Year of the Monkey are regarded as intelligent quick-witted optimistic ambitious and adventurous.
The uncirculated aluminium bronze one dollar is accompanied by $1 & $3 postage stamps post marked Christmas Island WA 6796.
At the ANDA Perth Money Expo held on 27-28 February 2016, a limited edition of 500 numbered Gold Foil Year of the Monkey $1 Coin & 2 x Stamps Postal Numismatic Covers were issued. The PNC's, taken from the standard issue of 11,000, were overprinted in the lower right portion of the envelope with the ANDA logo and dates of the show.
