The Perth Mint has released the meticulously struck 1oz 99.99% pure silver kookaburra. 

A common guest of the residential Australian gardens, the kookaburra is the largest member of the kingfisher species. Devoted to other family members, kookaburras gather at dusk and dawn to declare territorial boundaries with shrill, cackling and laughs. 

Each coin's reverse includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the coin's design. It is only detectable under a magnifying glass.
