This is the first of a series struck in double thickness (Piedfort) format with the same diameter as the 1oz.in. Described as a 'Next Generation' silver coin, each side is struck with micro-engraved radial lines for enhanced aesthetics and security.

The issue limit of 75,000 was not reached with the mintage declared at 74,987 coins.
