Just 1000 out of 6000 of these sets were released by the Canberra Mint as part of Australia's celebrations marking the International Year of Planet Earth 'SPECIAL RELEASE WORLD MONEY FAIR BERLIN FEBRUAURY 2008'

Each coin in the set is individually encapsulated within a lacquered Jarrah timber hinged-lid presentation box protected in a printed black & white cardboard shipper and accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity. The coins surround a specially struck Year of Planet Earth proof medallion depicting the Australian continent centered on a map of the region.
