Australia 2002 Tribute to Freedom three coin set

• This set was released to celebrate two milestones in American history - the 225th anniversary of the introduction of the United States 'Stars and Stripes' flag and the 250th anniversary of the making of the Liberty Bell. The Perth Mint limited the issue to 499 sets, with the coins housed, individually encapsulated, in a royal blue leatherette, hinged-lid presentation case and accompanied by a serial-numbered certificate of authenticity.
• The set comprises a kookaburra 99.9% pure silver one ounce one dollar with the United States coloured flag privy mark commemorating the 225th anniversary, kangaroo 99.99% pure gold one ounce and a 99.99% pure gold one half ounce both with a Liberty Bell privymark

Of the 499 sets released, only 100 were reserved by the Perth Mint for sale to Australian collectors.
