Struck in 99.9% pure silver in high relief, this $1 coin was issued to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Australian dollar coin, first issued on 14 May 1984.

This is the first high-relief coin struck by the Royal Australian Mint, Canberra. Mintage 10,000.

Just 500 coins were struck, each housed encapsulated in a black leatherette, hinged-lid presentation case, protected within a themed cardboard shipper and accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity. Second quality outer cardboard box.
